There are seven steps in the waste water treatment.
At first the waste goes to the lift station and is tested every Tuesday. Those tests go to the Mangold Environmental Testing.
Then, the water travels under the Little Sioux River into the ponds. In the ponds there are agitators that swirls the water and waste around until it is almost gone. There are three stages in that process.
Chlorine is injected into the water to clean it. Then another chemical is injected to get rid of the chlorine.
The water is finally released into the river.
